Kandy Base Coats by House of Kolor are a mixture of Kandy and select Pearls into a SHIMRIN® Universal Base Coat that mimics a Kandy finish. They feature low build, fewer coats, are easy to apply, and touchups are easier than ever. Due to their unique chemical make-up they may be top coated with either an acrylic lacquer or urethane enamel. May be reduced 50% with RU Series reducers (RU340, RU311, RU312) and you can order them below. After reducing, into the paint gun. Gun distance while spraying should be approximately 4 to 6 inches. Apply 3 to 4 medium coats with a 75% pattern overlap. Walk long objects. Avoid dry spraying, as loss of adhesion is possible. Again, medium coats work best. Allow flash time between coats
Allow dry time before Kandy or clear is applied (usually about 15 to 60 minutes and not longer than 4 hours). Topcoat within 4 hours or apply SG100 Intercoat Clear.
